Why Am I Different To The Others?

There are thousands of web site designers peddling their services today. Unfortunately, many of them don't have much idea of their clients' needs and subsequently you end up with a "pretty" web site that does absolutely nothing for its owner. They have no idea of how your business works, the type of products you sell, and what they do. Nor do they have an idea at all on your target audience. They probably don't care either, they just run out another template, throw in your company details and bingo, here's your web site. This is the type of thing you will get from a lot of larger web design companies, too. Heck, you might not even speak to the same person more than once.

Addendum - added December 2004

Today I took a call from a referral in Kent, WA who asked if I will help him with his web site as it appears to be doing nothing for him. This is a typical call for me.

I checked out his web site for him, ran a full search engine report to assess his site's rankings on the major search engines, and I found he is not even ON any of the search engines. He had paid good money to be submitted to the major search engines and was horrified to find out that he had been living in "false hope" for over three years. Yes, three years his web site has been running and not one lead in all that time. That's about to change - guaranteed!

Every web designer and his dog can put a web site together, but it takes a little more talent to ensure that it is going to yield a return on your investment.
